Iran Live: Follow the latest updates on the conflict

Given that Donald Trump has not ruled out having boots on the ground in Iran, furious Americans have been demanding that members of the Trump family should be expected to serve should a military draft be introduced.

However, it has since been revealed that a medical exemption could stop Barron Trump from national service.

Over the weekend, the hashtag #SendBarron went viral.

One person wrote: “#SendBarron. Would certainly send a message of solidarity with our troops, and gratitude for the sacrifices they make every day.”

Another said: “POTUS is chilling at his own country club whilst starting WWIII #SendBarron.”

However Barron is 6’9 tall which could make him too tall for the army.

Typically the maximum height restrictions for the US Army are 6’8.

Barron wouldn’t be the only member of the Trump family to avoid the draft due to an exemption.

Donald Trump himself was diagnosed with bone spurs helping him dodge the military draft for Vietnam.

Overall Donald Trump avoided the draft five times during the 1960s and 70s.

He received four student deferments while attending college and a medical deferment for ‘bone spurs’ in his heels.
